Fiuel is the controller of the personal data of Service users. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), as we do not meet the thresholds set out in Article 37 of the GDPR. However, any data-related request can be sent directly to the contact details above.
We collect only the data strictly necessary to provide the Service:
Category | Data collected | Source |

Transactions | Rental-session history, time, station location, duration and amount | Generated automatically through use of the Service |
Technical | IP address, device type, operating system and app version | Collected automatically |
Communications | Messages submitted through the contact form or by email | Provided by the User |
We do not collect special-category data under Article 9 of the GDPR. In particular, we do not process data relating to health, ethnic origin, religious beliefs or biometric data.
Each processing purpose has a separate legal basis under the GDPR:
Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)): account management, payment processing, invoicing and customer support.
Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): retaining accounting and tax records in accordance with UK and EU law.
Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): fraud prevention, network security and anonymised statistical analysis of Service usage.
Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): sending marketing communications, only where you have expressly opted in. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making with legal effects or for profiling within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR.
Account and transaction data: for the duration of the contractual relationship, plus 3 years after the account is closed.
Tax and accounting data: 7 years, in accordance with UK law.
Technical data and logs: up to 12 months.
Communications, including emails and contact-form messages: 2 years from the last contact.
Marketing data: until consent is withdrawn or after 2 years of inactivity, whichever occurs first.
After the relevant retention period ends, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only on a limited basis with:
Payment processors such as Stripe or equivalent providers, to process transactions under data-processing agreements compliant with Article 28 of the GDPR.
Cloud-infrastructure providers, for hosting the platform in data centres located within the EU or protected by appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Public authorities, only where we are legally required to do so, for example in response to a court order or a request from a tax authority.
Partners hosting Fiuel Stations do not receive Users’ personal data. They have access only to aggregated and anonymised statistics.
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we apply mechanisms approved under Article 46 of the GDPR, including Standard Contractual Clauses or European Commission adequacy decisions.
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights, which you may exercise at any time:
Access (Article 15): to receive a copy of the data we hold about you.
Rectification (Article 16): to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure (Article 17): the “right to be forgotten”—to request deletion of your data where no legal retention obligation applies.
Restriction (Article 18): to restrict processing in certain circumstances provided for by law.
Data portability (Article 20): to receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
Objection (Article 21): to object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct-marketing purposes.
Withdrawal of consent: at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at office@fiuel.co. We will respond within a maximum of 30 calendar days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence. In Romania, this is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) at dataprotection.ro.
